Many forums and panels at the event: topics are diverse and participants include partners, subject specialists, editors, and ministers of government. The forums and panels begin at SPIEF June 16, the starting day, and throughout the event which runs for three days from June 16-June18. The Brics business forum is one such event.
Forums: The BRICS forum: Five countries involved: aim of forum to discuss ways to increase trade between these five markets a major focus for the BRICS business forum, in addition to other topics such as national development programmes and ways to allow for increased investment.
The forum has twelve panelists, and the topic: 'BRICS Business Forum: Joining Forces to Achieve Stable Economic Growth'. Like other SPIEF events it takes place at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre, a new venue for SPIEF in 2016.
The forum programme lists other events that occur around the same time as each event. In the case of the Brics forum, events beginning at the same time include, also on June 16, other panel sessions such as 'The changing nature of international investment arbitration ' , RT TV debates, and Valdai club.

Panel session moderators are sometimes event partners, or may be ministers of the government, for example, Alexander Konovalov, Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation for the panel discussion: 'The changing nature of international investment arbitration ' Panelists are sometimes editors, directors or specialists in the chosen panel topic.
